Christmas Day was bittersweet for the Williams' family as a whole...on December 23 an unexpected tragedy occurred. Chase's cousin Laurie learned that her husband had been killed on a dirt bike accident outside her parent's home. He was 48 years old and left behind three sons which breaks our heart. As a wife and mom of young children, my heart hurts for Laurie and what she is going through but more than that my heart hurts for the boys that lost their daddy. Boys need daddies. Mom's can't do the dad things and I pray for Jack, Trapp, and George everyday. Luckily, Laurie is a woman of strong never- ending faith in God and her faith will carry her through this tragedy. It made us all remember not to take our loved one for granted...they can leave this world instantly, unexpectedly. I am grateful for every day that I have with my family. We were blessed beyond belief in 2012, none of it deserved but we know the source of our blessings and thank God for them.
And, not to be left off the Christmas Day story is Bre and Bud. They braved the pouring rain to be with us on Christmas. They spoiled us all and we didn't take a single picture because we were having so much fun with remote controlled cars, megaphones, bouncy houses and playing tackle football in the house. Bud was Auburn and Greame was Ole Miss, and like this year...Ole Miss managed to come out on top. We are so thankful that our children have two wonderful sets of grandparents that adore them and love them more than words can describe. But more than that we're thankful that we have a Savior that was born on Christmas and loved and adored us more than words can describe and offered himself in our place. Glory be to God!
This is a sweet post Haylea. I am sorry to hear of the loss of a family member. It's never easy.
